RAM Heritage Day 2020
We are celebrated Heritage Day on 24 Sept 2020 in Montagu surrounds with traditional Cape Malay Curry, Koeksisters and lots of love.
We fed so many people we lost count. When we took a photo of a few of the pots they were already half empty. In mix of things we forgot to take a photo of the 100’s of most lovely Malay Koeksisters. I give it a capital K as it’s part of our heritage celebrations today. Grateful for this day and all the loads of people who helped Dulcie Lawrence at Sakhikamva ECD at Mandela Square in Montagu. The Malay Chicken curry was so tasty and delicious.
For the children we chose a milder curry made with boneless chicken portions. All received so well.
We had beautiful traditional dancers as well as the most gorgeous singers.
Thank you Dulcie and team for a lovely day.
2 Vehicles, 2 Deep Freezers filled to the brim, a trailer loaded with pockets of potatoes and food parcels, a truck collecting ex CT. We had a big Heritage Day feeding event and a thank you braai plus loads of food parcels.
So many to thank for the success of the past 5 days.
